Lead Welder/Fabricator

ICM Solutions, a leader in crushing, underground mining rebuild, and white paving equipment, service, and solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Welder/Fabricator to lead daily fabrication and welding operations at our Oroville, CA facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the production of structural steel and heavy equipment assemblies, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining a safe work environment, and supporting on-time project delivery.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled fabricator who takes pride in producing quality work, solving complex fabrication challenges, and mentoring others. You'll play a critical role in building large-scale industrial equipment while helping drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

• Lead day-to-day fabrication and welding operations
• Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Layout, fit, and assemble large structural steel components
• Ensure products meet engineering, quality, and customer specifications
• Inspect work to reduce rework and maintain high first-pass quality
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and coordinate solutions with management
• Promote and enforce a safety-first culture
• Mentor and train welders and fitters
• Coordinate labor, materials, and shop resources to meet production schedules

• 5+ years of structural steel fabrication and welding experience
• Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation skills
• Experience fabricating large weldments and structural steel assemblies
• Proficiency with industrial welding processes
• Ability to fit and fabricate with minimal supervision
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS welding certifications
• Experience building large steel structures or heavy equipment
• Knowledge of welding procedures and quality standards
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
