Description

The Leadership and Student Organizations Coordinator will work closely with other professionals on the Involvement Team within the Student Life and Engagement department to manage the administrative and programmatic portfolio. The Coordinator leads and manages the operations of the Office of Leadership and Student Organization. This position develops and implements support programs for student organizations, plans activities and events for students to learn leadership development skills, and works to engage students on campus and in the community. The Leadership and Student Organizations Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Director of Student Involvement.



Responsibilities
  • Signature Program Development-Plan and host signature programs on behalf of the Office of Leadership and Student Organizations such as The Rocky's Leadership Award Ceremony, Un-Bull-ievable Service Break, and Get on Board Day. The Coordinator is responsible for creating and providing learning experiences for all students which promote leadership education and skill development that will prepare students to lead and function in a diverse and global society. Incorporating current theories, philosophies, and best practices to engage students with leadership development.
  • Administrative responsibilities-Serve as primary representative of the office to the campus and community. Hire, train, and supervise all office personnel. Responsible for creating, managing, and administrating all office budgets and operating funds. Maintains all equipment, supplies, and materials of the department. Maintaining the resource library.
  • OneUSF Student Engagement Platform Manager-Serve on the OneUSF Student Engagement Platform team as the manager for the St. Petersburg campus. Coordinate the recruitment and recognition of new organizations. Serve as the primary contact for all student organizations. Develop and provide training programs for all student organizations and organization leaders.
  • Fiscal and Business Process Responsibilities-Coordinate and oversee the student organizations fiscal and business processes and functions. Serve as a primary contact for all student organizations purchasing operations. Coordinate and collaborate with Student Government on all fiscal and business training programs for student organization leaders.
  • Assists with all other tasks and projects associated with the programs, including marketing and website maintenance, developing and implementing programs to foster traditions on campus, and fundraising. Establishes assessment methods to verify learning and effectiveness of initiatives and programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, with at least one year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:  Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel OR 2 years of
experience working in higher education.
