Job Description - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Technical Continuous Improvement Expert - V
Role Summary\n\nApplied Materials is seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing continuous improvement projects \u0026 programs in supply chain and logistics. We are looking for a hands-on expert with strong technical competencies in continuous improvement, statistical toolset, DMAIC, and Lean.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Drive Continuous Improvement methods to achieve breakthrough improvements in performance metrics in logistics, supply chain and transactional business areas.\n * Understand data trends and drive quantified results by designing and deploying analytical systems and processes. \n * Drive optimization of the Value Stream by elimination of waste and making flow improvements across or within manufacturing, supply chain and logistics operations.\n * Facilitate groups through process mapping, root cause analysis, brainstorming and project planning.\n * Lead Kaizen Events and LSS Black Belt level projects within and across operations to optimize performance.\n * Coach and oversee successful completion of process improvement projects using LSS methodology.\n * Train, mentor and coach Champions and Green Belts in the use of Six Sigma tools and methodology to ensure timely completion of projects with expected client results.\n * Employ project management skills related to overall project tracking, deliverables management, action item tracking, meeting minutes, team communications, and presentations. Keep stakeholders apprised of project status and defined deliverables.\n * Change agent responsible to drive Continuous Improvement projects in complex cross-functional environment.\n * Comply with all IP guidelines.\n * Comply with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrate safety as a value.\n\n\n\nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Direct experience with demonstrated success and financial results leading Six Sigma projects in an operations environment.\n * Technical expertise of Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, DFSS and Lean.\n * Effective change agent able to implement strategic initiatives in an organization.\n * Effective project management skills and ability to influence senior management.\n\n\n\nBusiness Expertise\n\n * Utilize benchmarking to identify best practices, both internal and external to the organization.\n * Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.\n * Semiconductor industry experience preferred.\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\n * Ability to lead and influence others within a matrix organization.\n * Lead strategic projects while managing risk and resource requirements.\n * Ability to effectively coach and mentor Process Owners, Champions and Green Belts.\n * Resolves obstacles/roadblocks, serves as a sounding board for problem resolution.\n\n\n\nProblem Solving\n\n * Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.\n\n\n\nImpact\n\n * Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.\n\n\n\nInterpersonal Skills\n\n * Explains difficult or sensitive information in an easy-to-understand manner; works to build consensus.\n * Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.\n * Adept at observing, assessing and helping team members recognize areas for development.\n * Develops strong rapport with those they mentor.\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s Degree required (Business/Engineering/Supply Chain) \n * Master\u2019s Degree preferred \n\n\n * Master Black Belt certification required \n * 10+ Years of professional experience required \n * 5+ Years of Continuous Improvement experience required \n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n7 - 10 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 25% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nYes\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$140,000.00 - $192,500.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
