Responsibilities:
The Learning Activity Designer will be pivotal in creating bilingual games in English & Spanish that are not only educational but also captivating. This role demands a unique combination of game design prowess, programming expertise, and a deep understanding of bilingual education. Spanish Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.
Job Description:
· Conceptualize, design, and fine-tune game narratives, rules, and mechanics for bilingual learning.
· Develop and implement game scenarios, characters, and settings that appeal to a diverse user base.
· Work closely with artists, programmers, and other team members to produce cohesive and engaging game designs.
· Prototype and refine game mechanics to optimize the learning experience.
· Employ programming languages like C++, Java, and HTML to build interactive game elements.
· Utilize graphic design soware, such as Adobe Creative Suite, to enhance game aesthetics.
· Document the game design process and mechanics for team collaboration and future reference.
· Test games rigorously and iterate based on user feedback to ensure educational value and enjoyment.
· Keep abreast of the latest trends in gaming and educational technology to deliver innovative learning solutions.
· Provide regular updates on game development progress in production meetings.
Qualifications:
· A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A master’s degree in game design or a related field is preferred.
· Extensive experience in game design and development, with a strong portfolio of previous projects.
· Mastery of programming languages relevant to game development, including C++, Java, and HTML.
· Proficiency in graphic design soware, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
· Professional certifications in gaming soware, programming languages, or multimedia design are advantageous.
· Exceptional communication skills. This position will work alone or with an already established team from their company.
· A fervent passion for education and innovation in game-based learning.
