Job Description - Learning & Development Instructional Designer

As a Manager of Instructional Design, you will create and continuously improve learning programs using an array of educational approaches. These approaches include development of blended learning including e-Learning, instructor led training/virtually lead training, virtual/augmented reality, game based learning, Microlearning, and multimedia assets.
You will also lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, managing expectations and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Finally, you will partner with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to design curriculum and develop innovative solutions supporting business operations.
Intake projects, assign to IDs, create project plans, and prepare monthly project hour summaries for finance team for review
Collect and analyze data to measure training quality and effectiveness
Design and develop learning solutions in a variety of formats, including but not limited to e-Learning, videos, virtual reality experiences, job aids, infographics, in-person/virtual trainings, and storyboards
Develop, maintain, and leverage relationships with key stakeholders to influence them on design standards, tools, and processes, and to facilitate collaboration and share knowledge, technology, and resources
Design innovative learning experiences, ensuring they are accessible, scalable, and globally inclusive
Drive engagement, behavior change, and business impact through e-Learning/VILT/ILT
Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive required changes to ensure the training team and learning experience design group are working at optimal efficiency
Build internal processes and instructional design guidelines
Provide feedback to L&D Specialists and Instructional Designers on their work and develop employees to become leaders
Design, develop, and launch enterprise-wide learning programs from needs analysis through evaluation, including leadership development, compliance, and role-specific curricula
Facilitate and deliver in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and lunch-and-learns across multiple sites and audiences
Own and administer the company's performance management process, including goal-setting cycles, mid-year check-ins, annual reviews, calibration sessions, and manager enablement resources
Partner with HR and business leaders to align performance management outcomes with talent planning, succession, and development initiatives
Master's degree in education, educational technology or related field
5+ years of experience using course authoring tools
Ability to create monthly budgets and allocate employee resources
Familiar with website design, video technology and editing
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Understanding of varied learning styles
Experience with learning and development principles, ADDIE Model, defining Learning Objectives, and measures of success
