Learning and Development Specialist

The Learning and Development Specialist will develop and oversee employee training and career development programs.  The individual in this role will assist with designing offerings to improve performance, productivity, and engagement of the organization's employees.  In addition, the LDS will coordinate guest presenters and subject matter experts as well as provide input as to course material and training content.  The person filling this position will be expected to occasionally present and frequently lead discussions.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations

• Design and implement programs focused on long-term growth and career development of employees at all levels of the company, including hourly employees, supervisor and managers.


• Enhance the employee experience through training, education, mentoring, or similar programs, ensuring that programs align with organizational needs.


• Create or source content for career development programs.


• Develop evaluations and surveys to career development and training needs, monitor program successes and identify weaknesses.


• The position will focus on traditional career development and general job improvement skills. (Technical skill development is the responsibility of the Company’s technical training department.)

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution is required

Experience

• Four+ years of training, coaching, and presenting


• Demonstrated achievement in career development, job training, academic or workforce education. or comparable field
