Job Description - Learning Center Manager in Training

As a Center Director in Training, you will prepare to assume the role of Center Director for a new Texas learning center opening. In this training role, you will work under the guidance of the existing Center Director at an established location, learning all aspects of center operations, management, and leadership. Your goal is to develop the skills and expertise required to lead a learning center, fostering student success, parent satisfaction, and staff development while ensuring center growth and profitability.




Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-day workweek commitment; training will align with the 5 busiest days at the designated training center.

  • Maximum 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, unless approved by a Regional Director or Director of Operations.

  • Maintain an average of 35+ hours per week to remain in good standing with the company.

  • Willingness to relocate or commute to the new Texas location upon its opening to assume the Center Director role.



Responsibilities:


  1. Enrollment Management Training

    • Observe and assist in scheduling and conducting initial assessments with inquiring families, learning to identify student strengths and weaknesses, discuss program details, provide tailored recommendations, and guide families through the enrollment process.

    • Support follow-up efforts with families who do not enroll immediately, learning to address objections and assist with enrollment.

    • Participate in supporting enrolled families with adjustments, changes, or cancellations, under the direction of the Center Director.

    • Learn strategies to cultivate a positive and engaging learning environment to ensure student retention and satisfaction.




  2. Parent Communications Training

    • Shadow the Center Director in greeting and seeing off students and parents by name to create a welcoming, positive, and fun environment.

    • Assist in handling parent questions, comments, concerns, and conflict resolution, developing customer service professionalism.

    • Support center communications regarding events, promotions, and closures, learning effective communication strategies.

    • Observe and participate in consultations with enrolled parents to discuss student progress and goals.

    • Assist with managing incoming and outgoing parent communications via phone calls, text messages, and emails.

    • Learn to enhance Mathnasium’s positive reputation within the local community through excellent service and engagement.




  3. Learning Center Performance Training

    • Study key performance indicators (KPIs) for the learning center, including business and educational performance metrics, and learn to analyze weekly performance data to inform strategic decisions.

    • Assist in the selection, assessment, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, reprimanding, and dismissing of team members, under the Center Director’s guidance, to build a high-performing team.

    • Participate in team development activities to foster a positive team culture and deliver a top-notch educational experience for students, parents, and staff.

    • Learn to maintain a high-quality learning and working environment, ensuring performance standards are upheld.

    • Assist with office-related tasks, such as payment reconciliation, to ensure all active accounts are properly managed.






Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour







Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
