Learning Lead (Fully Remote) - Hunstville, AL

We are looking for a Knowledge Transfer & Training Specialist with strong expertise in Exstream software and IRS notice systems to lead and execute structured knowledge transfer and on-the-job training (OJT) initiatives. This role is essential in upskilling IRS personnel and ensuring continuity and self-sufficiency in system operations and support across various teams including Corporate Notices developers, Enterprise Operations, and the Notice Conversion (NOTCON) team.

Training & Knowledge Transfer:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan to upskill IRS personnel across multiple user roles using diverse training formats such as:
  • Interactive virtual sessions
  • Independent study materials
  • Hands-on exercises
  • Group activities and collaborative workshops
• Deliver training aligned with the approved plan, ensuring participants are guided through the Exstream software’s full capabilities
• Provide documentation supporting the training program, including tracking completion of training milestones

Assessment & Remediation:

• Evaluate the proficiency of IRS developers and support staff in using the Exstream tool
• Identify skill gaps and provide targeted remediation strategies to close those gaps effectively

Knowledge Management:

• Facilitate effective knowledge transfer by:
  • Ensuring all Exstream-related work products are securely stored, organized by user role, and easily accessible within the IRS environment
  • Providing comprehensive guides for maintaining deployment pipelines and executing routine updates
  • Making troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system management information available and understandable

Support for Notice Conversion (NOTCON) Training:

• Design and execute training programs to prepare the NOTCON team in key areas, including:
  • Deploying and enhancing Microservices
  • System Integration, Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and Platform Test (PTE) environment configuration
  • Support for Simplex notice formats and global override enhancements for manifest files
  • Working with live data in DEV, SAT, and PTE environments
  • Enhancing error reporting and logging features
  • Addressing barcode integration and encoding in Exstream
  • Upgrading to the latest Long-Term Support (LTS) releases (e.g., JDK 17 → 21)

• Proven experience training technical and non-technical users on complex software systems (preferably Exstream)
• Experience working with IRS systems, notice lifecycles, and Microservices-based architecture
• Strong understanding of knowledge management practices, documentation, and system administration
• Familiarity with modern development and test environments (e.g., DEV, SAT, PTE)
• Ability to assess learning progress and adapt training approaches accordingly

• Experience with IRS Notice Conversion (NOTCON) efforts
• Proficiency in Exstream, Java/Microservices, and COTS upgrades
• Background in training delivery, curriculum development, and learning technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Government or federal agency training experience is a plus
