Job Summary: Responsible for performing accurate diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs of lease & rental semi-trailers in accordance with established company processes and procedures while practicing the company values. This is a dedicated, on-site position working out of a service truck focused on supporting the reliability and readiness of the lease and rental fleet.
Base location: Manheim, PA with limited travel in company-owned dedicated service truck to service other company satellite branches, including Shippensburg, PA and Easton, PA.

Essential Duties:
Meets daily with the Lease/Rental Operations Supervisor and other operations personnel to discuss scheduling and demands for equipment
Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and constant focus on daily efficiency and production
Perform repairs and inspections on all lease/rental semi-trailer makes and models
Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on trailers, along with DOT inspections
Repair/Replace trailer components
Open and close repair orders on company issued laptop
Manage parts inventory on the service truck
Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within standard repair times
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
Required Skills/Abilities:
Expectations include the ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in the following:
Federal DOT Inspections
Electrical Systems
Structural Repairs
Chassis Repairs
Hydraulic / Air Brake / ABS systems
Lift Gate Systems
Basic Reefer Repairs
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance
Identify warrantable repairs and document using provided UKTS processes
Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Excellent organization, customer service, communication and planning skills
Education and Experience:
Education - High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of experience working on semi-trailers
Physical Environments:
Noise levels are moderate to high at times; Physical exertion is moderate to heavy; Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds; Employee must be capable of continuously climbing up and down into a trailer.
