We are currently seeking an engaged and passionate professional to serve as
Leasing Agent to a newly developed property.
Under the direction of the Lease-up Manager, the
Leasing Agent is responsible for driving leasing activity and supporting occupancy goals for a mixed-income community with a significant market-rate component. This position requires an experienced leasing professional who can manage the full leasing lifecycle with minimal supervision and contribute to the successful stabilization of an active lease-up.
Essential Functions:Leasing & Occupancy
- Manage market rate leasing activity from initial prospect inquiry through executed lease
- Conduct in-person, virtual and telephone tours in a professional manner
- Maintain and manage a complete prospect pipeline, including timely follow-up and documentation
- Prepare and execute lease agreements and required addenda accurately and on time
- Support achievement of occupancy and leasing goals for market-rate units
Marketing & Market Awareness
- Participate in marketing efforts, including ILS platforms, advertising initiatives and outreach
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and pricing trends
- Provide feedback to management regarding traffic, lead quality and leasing activity
- Assist with evaluating marketing effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement
Administrative & Team Coordination
- Maintain accurate prospect and resident records in property management software
- Coordinate move-ins with property management and maintenance teams
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support unit readiness and delivery schedules
- Ensure leasing activities comply with Fair Housing and company policies
Education & Experience: - 2–3+ years of market-rate leasing experience required
- Demonstrated ability to manage leasing activity independently
- Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with property management and leasing software (e.g., OneSite, Yardi, or similar) required
- Lease-up experience, including new construction or phased developments preferred
- Experience in mixed-income communities preferred
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations preferred
- Self-directed with strong time management skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Professional communication and presentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and team-focused
Physical Demands & Work Environment:- The employee is regularly required to move around the building or site.
- May require travel dependent on business needs.
- Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across site.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
