Leasing Agent (Shelby, NC)

Winterwood, Inc. is hiring for the role of Leasing Agent. The Leasing Agent is responsible for the leasing and marketing of the property, and ensures target occupancy is maintained at all times. Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service skills and be proficient with computers. 

Position Details:

• Locations:
  • West Warren Manor: 934 West Warren St., Shelby, NC 28150
  • Marion West: 110 Philbeck St., Shelby, NC 28150

• Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week) 

• Work Schedule: 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, Monday-Friday

• Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Previous experience in housing or apartment leasing.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with staff, residents, vendors, and others.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
• Ability to travel to Lexington, KY for training.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Assume responsibility for the leasing process and effectively market the property.
• Show available units to prospective residents.
• Assist in projecting upcoming move-outs to quickly fill units and maintain target occupancy.
• Screen applicants to determine eligibility.
• Complete necessary paperwork and ensure compliance with leasing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate tenant files.
• Plan and organize community events and recreational activities to enhance resident engagement, foster a sense of community, and improve overall resident satisfaction.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
