Job description

The Clearwater Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) is an asset management company that provides innovative, progressive, and affordable property management. We deliver our services with integrity, pride, and efficiency for all of our stakeholders.

Leasing Consultant

The Leasing Consultant coordinates all activities related to apartment rentals, move-in/out activities, and lease renewals. The Leasing Consultant markets the property and converts prospects to residents. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The work is performed in an office environment under the immediate supervision of the Property Manager under the overall direction of the COO. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm.

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and training may substitute for a degree.

One to three years experience in residential leasing and sales.

Computer proficiency in Windows operating system and MS Office software including Word and Excel. Able to operate Internet applications and email as well as external vendors’ and applicable proprietary software programs including File Vision, or Yardi software.

Possession of valid Florida Driver’s License.

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge relating to real estate, landlord/tenant and fair housing laws.

Knowledge of the rental housing industry and local market conditions.

Sales and negotiation abilities.

Operate a motor vehicle.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour

We have 235 units of public housing as well as 529 units of privately funded mixed income communities along with our corporate offices. We also offer third-party consulting for executive management, accounting and property management.
