Summary:
Colorado Mesa University is seeking applications for a part-time in-person Adjunct Professor of Art History. The ideal candidates would have experience teaching Art History survey courses.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
This position will consist of teaching two 3-credit hour courses per semester, starting fall 2026 (mid-August). Courses taught will be two of our 100-level foundations survey of art history courses; two ARTE 118 Prehistoric to Renaissance courses the first semester with options to teach ARTE 119 Renaissance to Present, ARTE 115 Art Appreciation, or upper division art history courses in the future depending on experience.
Salary:
$600.00 - 850.00 per credit hour, commensurate with education. Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis.
