The Legal Affairs Manager’s mission is to perform the duties necessary to protect the corporate interest of the company in its legal affairs and to identify and implement the remedial actions necessary to mitigate the company’s business risks while championing integrity and ethical behavior.

  • Assist in the review, revision, and approval of external contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards
  • Coordinate patent and trademark matters
  • Interfaces as a liaison with the company outside legal counsel.
  • Manage inbound and outbound communications with customers, suppliers and partners
  • Provide legal support to various departments within the company, including marketing, sales, and product development
  • Support the management of personal injury and property damage claims ensuring a timely and effective resolution
  • Participate in the day-to-day insurance-companies-related tasks
  • Work closely with the compliance team to cover the legal aspects of compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal documents and correspondence
  • Contributes to the company’s legal database updating and maintenance
  • Contributes to the release and updating of the company’s processes
  • Reviews the legal expenses incurred by the company
  • Ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with the company’s executed contracts and established values, policies, ethics and code of conduct
  • Assist the Operations Department in the legal aspects of the facility management
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with the company's operations and products

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal; affairs manager or paralegal in the area of a consumer products
  • Strong knowledge of business contract law and experience in sale and purchase contract management
  • Experience in handling personal injury and property damage claims
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with insurance brokers preferred
  • Knowledge of risk management practices preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the consumer products industry preferred
