Legal Assistant

Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate would have general legal knowledge as well as experience in a corporate law firm setting. The right candidate is eager and quick to learn, has high energy, and especially enjoys providing high-quality and personalized service to clients with whom you will have direct contact.  

 Responsibilities will include:

• Assist in reviewing/editing documents


• Prepare memoranda to open new matters


• Draft, proofread and send transmittal letters


• Maintain detailed data in Microsoft Excel


• Save, print, scan, and file all transmittal documents


• Additional special projects or clerical support as needed

Our ideal Legal Assistant will have:

• A minimum 3 years' law firm experience 


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Experience with data reporting and manipulation of data in Microsoft Excel


• High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook


• Ability to maintain composure under pressure


• Reliable attendance


• Ability to complete projects independently


• Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information


• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment


• Experience with document management systems such as ProLaw


• Ability to work well with others

Salary range DOE: $22-$25/hour

The pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for. Criteria included but not limited to, skill level, education, and experience, will determine where a candidate falls within the range.
