Legal Assistant - Real Estate

The West Palm Beach office of Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be key to supporting the administrative functions of the group. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with drafting, formatting and proofreading of legal documents


• Create, organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files


• Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys


• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and correspondence, including emails and mail


• Prepare memoranda to open new matters


• Recording documents in the Public Records of counties throughout Florida


• Occasional filing in the State E-Filing Court system  


• Calendaring and monitoring critical dates


• Create accounting bills and expense reports as needed


• Provide other clerical support as needed

Our ideal Legal Assistant will have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant


• Experience with real estate, finance, or title company


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel


• Working knowledge of document management systems, a plus


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable conversing with clients and others


• Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm


• Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information


• Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment


• Works well with others as a team

Salary range dependent on experience: $24-$30/hour 

The pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for. Criteria included but not limited to, skill level, education, and experience, will determine where a candidate falls within the range.
