Job Description - Legal Counsel - Estonia

Plummy Games, a fast-growing mobile gaming company that developed Star Merge game, a remarkable success and genre leader in the mobile gaming world, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Estonia or remotely.

With our main office in Estonia and an R&D hub in Moldova, also backed by top-tier professionals across seven countries, we're a truly global company pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming. Responsibilities/Key Duties:


  • Maintain strong communication and provide legal support to the executive team, administrative staff, and various company departments.


  • Provide legal support on all ongoing game development and game distribution cycles;


  • Ensure global product compliance with the applicable legal frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, LGPD, etc.) and guidelines set by the App Store and Google Play;


  • Drafting and reviewing legal agreements within the company (contracts with R&D partners, service providers, business partners, gaming companies, etc.), Insertion Orders and T&Cs with marketing platforms (user acquisition/monetization), and License Agreements with software tools, analytics services, and various online service providers.


  • Provide legal research and advice on all aspects of intellectual property rights and verify IP clearance for the company’s products.


  • Participation and assistance with annual financial audits.


  • Manage and monitor the performance of external legal consultants.


  • Safeguard company’s intellectual property, know-how, and confidential information


  • Manage IP protection (including global trademarks portfolio), monitor and enforce IP infringements, and resolve conflicts on the App Store, Google Play, and other digital platforms.


  • Drafting and updating online terms and product policies (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, etc.).


  • Handling user complaints and data requests.



Experience/Key Skills:


  • Degree in Legal Studies (LLM is a preference)


  • At least 3+ years of post-graduate legal experience, including in-house expertise in video gaming, IT, or other related sectors.


  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.


  • Capacity to work autonomously and coordinate with various departments and branches.


  • Skilled at managing and prioritizing complex workloads.


  • Fluent in English.


  • The Russian language is a plus.

  • Comprehensive understanding of IP and Data Protection Laws.

  • Strategic planning and multitasking.
