Legal Secretary - Hybrid (Houston, TX)

Avant Tech is seeking a Legal Secretary on behalf of a top national law firm. This role supports attorneys and practice groups in corporate law and offers a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and client service support to attorneys
• Draft, edit, and file legal documents with courts and agencies
• Manage billing, expense processing, time entry, and new matter openings
• Coordinate with internal departments (finance, client services, practice support)
• Maintain client files in document management systems
• Schedule meetings, prepare presentations, and manage reporting
• Support additional assignments and special projects as needed

• 4+ years of legal secretarial or legal admin experience (required)
• Direct corporate law experience (required); litigation background preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Knowledge of legal billing, expense reporting, and timekeeping
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
