Legal Services Specialist Licensing and Compliance

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Services Compliance Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance team. This role will support our licensing team and assist with general insurance compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance regulations and a passion for ensuring regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day compliance activities across various lines of insurance.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide actionable insights to support timely implementation of necessary compliance changes.
• Manage several state and municipal licenses
• Support audits, regulatory filings, and other compliance-related projects.
• Help develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Communicate with adjusters, producers, program partners, and vendors regarding the producer appointment system and process.
• Prepare and file informational reports with state departments as needed.
• Assist in preparing and filing NAIC applications.
• File license applications and renewals ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Perform other activities, duties, and assignments as needed or requested.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Paralegal degree or certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Insurance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in insurance compliance, regulatory affairs, in-house legal department or a related role.
• Strong understanding of insurance products and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
