Position: Legal Technology Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $1,750–$2,150 per completed task
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Build a realistic digital workspace centered on the Drive folders you use daily. Include process maps, intake forms, matter-management reports, CLM rollouts, e-discovery plans, vendor-evaluation decks, and email threads.
• Design multi-step tasks grounded in real workflows. Require navigating multiple apps, files, and stakeholders to challenge frontier AI agents.
• Collaborate with other legal-operations and legal-tech experts. Design the environment, shape task scope, and review scenarios for realism and rigor.
• Work asynchronously with research teams. Refine task designs and evaluation criteria for legal-tech agent benchmarks.
• Contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking. Inform how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years of full-time experience in legal operations or legal technology at an AmLaw 100 firm, Fortune 500 in-house legal department, or major legal-tech vendor.
• Background in legal operations, process improvement, and legal-spend management.
• Experience with e-discovery and review workflows.
• Knowledge of contract lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with matter management and e-billing.
• Experience in legal intake, knowledge management, and enterprise-wide legal program design.
• Day-to-day use of Relativity, Icertis, HotDocs / Contract Express, and Clio / MyCase.
• Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.

Preferred

• CLOC / ACC Legal Ops involvement.

Compensation & Legal

• Task Completion Pay: Competitive and based on task quality (~$1,750 – $2,150 per completed task, subject to change as the project evolves).
• Performance Bonus: Top performers receive a weekly bonus incentive on top of their per task rate.
• Hourly Opportunity: Top performers may transition to an hourly compensation model based on sustained quality and throughput.
