Level 1 Med Aide/Certified Nurse Aide (L1MA /CNA)

The Lutheran Home is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Level 1 Medication Aide who is also a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our healthcare community. In this role, you will be a key player primarily working in our assisted living as you pass medications and provide comfort and support to our residents.  Come join our team of dedicated professionals and help us achieve our values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace and stewardship.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain medical records.
• Take vital signs or observe patient to detect response to specified types of medications.
• Respond to emergency situations that arise and take appropriate action.
• Answer call lights and assist residents with ADL care as needed.
• Complete documentation accurately, timely, and following facility policies and procedures.
• Assist with serving meals and picking up the dining room after meal service.  
• Weigh residents using upright or chair scale.
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, oxygen).
• Helps keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse.
• Communicates residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.

• Current Level 1 Medication Aide certification or Certified Medication Tech
• Current Missouri CNA certification
• Minimum age of 18
