Job Title: Level 2 Electrical Automotive Technician

Job Location: Detroit, MI

Schedule: 1st Shift, 6am – 2pm

Pay: 35.88 - 38.95

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

· Lead the installation, setup, and commissioning of new systems in automotive manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.

· Conduct pre-installation assessments, site surveys, and technical reviews to identify project scope, technical requirements, and potential challenges.

· Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop installation plans, timelines, and resource requirements.

· Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on installation techniques, best practices, and safety protocols.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues during installation projects, including programming, wiring, and communication problems.

· Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of robotic systems to ensure optimal performance, quality, and safety.

· Provide training and support to clients' personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of installed robotic equipment.

· Document installation procedures, technical specifications, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Requirements:

· Associate degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering, automation, automotive repair/technician, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.

· 3-5 years of hands-on experience in installing and servicing robotic or advanced automotive systems (electrical repair) in the automotive industry.

· Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, wiring principles, and mechanical components, with demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and repair.

· ASE Certified a plus.

· Strong understanding of robotic programming languages, such as PLC, ladder logic, or robot-specific languages (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) highly desired.

· Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP) and HMI/SCADA systems is a plus.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead troubleshooting efforts independently.

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.

· Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation projects as needed.

· Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to company policies and procedures.



Pay Details: 35.88 to 38.95 per hour
