Job Description - Level 2 Support Technician - Growth-Minded Organization

Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Level 2 Support Technician to join their team onsite in Chicago, IL and be responsible for interacting and providing hardware upgrades, new technology, and phone support. Critical skills include a focus on being helpful, relatable, and pleasant while deploying hardware or answering questions on new technology. The ideal candidate must be reliable and be available for hours between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Building and deploying Windows computers for new and current staff
  • Assisting and troubleshooting end-user technical issues as they arise
  • Managing hardware retrieval from client staff that are off-boarded
  • Documenting all activity and interactions in the ticketing system – ServiceNow
  • Providing application support

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 to 5+ years of related work experience in PC deskside support, an AA degree, or technical training / equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A+ Certification is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft O365, All Office Products, InTune, Oracle, Java, Citrix, Internet browsers, and emailing clients
  • Experience with Active Directory account creation, deletion, and reset
  • Proactive, consultative approach to solving issues
  • Customizes the customer experience for every individual - all communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individual
  • Relatable and responsible when interacting with any customer onsite or remote
  • Has the ability to work as both an individual contributor and as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic about technology and is willing to learn new platforms
  • Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
  • Imaging / Support experience required
