Level III / Rope Access Technician w/ RT & UT

Position Summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an experienced NDT Level III / Rope Access Technician to support inspection operations on Alaska's North Slope.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide Level III Rope Access oversight and support while working in a remote industrial environment. Candidates must hold current UT and RT certifications in addition to their Level III and rope access qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Level III Rope Access Technician supporting North Slope inspection operations.


• Provide technical oversight and guidance for rope access inspection activities.


• Perform and support NDT inspections in elevated, difficult-to-access, and industrial areas.


• Provide Level III technical support for UT and RT inspection activities.


• Review and approve NDT procedures, techniques, and inspection results.


• Ensure inspection activities comply with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and client requirements.


• Provide technical guidance and support to NDT technicians and rope access personnel.


• Maintain accurate inspection reports and required project documentation.


• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while working in a remote Arctic environment.


• Work closely with supervisors, project management, clients, and field personnel.


• Perform additional inspection and rope access duties as required by the project.

Required Qualifications

• NDT Level III certification – Required


• Industrial Rope Access certification – Required


• UT certification – Required


• RT certification – Required


• Strong knowledge of applicable NDT codes, standards, and procedures.


• Experience providing Level III technical oversight.


• Experience working at heights and in difficult-to-access industrial locations.


• Ability to work safely in remote and cold-weather environments.


• Oil & gas, pipeline, refinery, or industrial inspection experience preferred.


• Must be able to meet all North Slope client and site requirements, including applicable background, drug screening, safety training, and physical requirements.
