Level III Tooling Technician

Job Overview
A confidential, well-established manufacturing company specializing in plastic injection molding is seeking an experienced Level III Tooling Technician. This role is critical to maintaining high-precision tooling, ensuring optimal mold performance, and supporting uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tear-down, repair, troubleshooting, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of plastic injection molds
• Diagnose and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize downtime
• Conduct mold modifications and improvements as needed
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to support manufacturing goals
• Ensure molds meet quality, safety, and production standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the tooling department
  
  Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in plastic injection mold maintenance and repair
• Strong troubleshooting skills with complex tooling systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  
  Preferred Qualifications
• Tooling certification or technical training
• Experience with multi-cavity or high-precision molds
• Leadership or mentoring experience within tooling teams
