THE ROLE Serve as technical liaison between field mechanics and OEM engineering on a military aircraft maintenance and repair program. You'll coordinate damage assessments, facilitate repair approvals, and ensure technical alignment between field teams and engineering authorities. This is hands-on coordination work on active military aircraft with real-time problem solving.
WHAT YOU’LL DO Coordinate & Communicate
Act as primary liaison between field mechanics and OEM engineering staff for damage assessments and repair coordination.
Review and document aircraft damage findings, capture photos and measurements, and prepare technical packages for engineering review.
Facilitate technical discussions and telco meetings with OEM engineers to clarify repair requirements and obtain approvals.
Maintain detailed logs of findings, repair status, and engineering dispositions throughout the project.
Assess & Problem-Solve
Evaluate structural damage against SRM (Structural Repair Manual) and Service Bulletin criteria to determine repair paths.
Identify when standard repairs apply versus when Boeing engineering approval is required for non-standard conditions.
Work with mechanics to clarify technical questions and resolve field issues that could impact schedule or quality.
Support Material Review Board (MRB) processes for damage disposition and repair authorization.
