This position supports a wide range of branch services, with a strong focus on teen programming, outreach, reader’s advisory, and reference assistance. You’ll work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment at one of our busiest locations—nestled in the vibrant Georgetown Square outdoor shopping center. With steady foot traffic and popular after-school programs for middle schoolers and teens, there’s always something exciting happening. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position, and you will be required to work a mix of day, evening, and Saturday hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; AND two (2) years of library operations experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Driver's License
- Candidate must have completed nine credit hours of specific library science courses or commit to completing them within three years of start date in this position. Completion of this coursework will allow the person obtaining this position to achieve the required Librarian Certification Level 5 within three years of start date in this position. After requirements are met, must earn 50 LEU (Library Education Units) within five years.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay is $20.11 per hour and up based on experience
