The Library Temporary Worker provides short-term operational support for library shelving and collection-moving projects. This position performs primarily manual and physical work, including shelving books, shifting collections, moving library materials, loading and unloading boxes, and organizing materials according to established library procedures. The successful candidate must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
Project Dates: Date of hire for approximately five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day.
Anticipated start date: Monday, August 10, 2026
This is a temporary, project-based role that will conclude once the project is completed.

This position requires frequent and sustained physical activity. The temp-employee must be able to:
Work is generally performed inside a public library, storage area, or related facility. The temp-employee may work around dust, boxes, book carts, shelving, and active collection-moving projects. The position may require working before or after normal library hours, depending on project needs.
Temporary Assignment
This is a temporary position created to support a specific library project or short-term operational need. The length of the assignment, scheduled hours, and work location may vary. Temporary employment does not guarantee continued employment or placement in another position after the assignment ends.
