The LADC/ADC-T is responsible for working with our therapeutic treatment program including individual therapy sessions, facilitating group therapy, and working with clients to improve their well-being. This role assists in the development, planning and implementation of strategies for program continuation and growth. Licensed Drug Counselors (LADC/ADC-T) are expected to create, monitor, and alter, as therapeutically necessary, all client treatment plans during their stay at Momentum Center to maximize client potential and to improve client well-being. LADC/ADC-T'S will assist with referring clients to appropriate community resources, as they facilitate the successful transition of clients to recovery-conducive independent living environment.
Requirements:
Work Schedule: Monday -Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday 1pm-5pm
Mandated reporter.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible to changing situations.
Ability to listen, analyze and record information.
Establish rapport and impart caring and empathy while remaining objective and professional in relationship.
Sensitivity to client needs.
Ability to work with all cultures, use culturally competent model.
Able to solve problems but also able and willing to seek assistance when necessary.
Must be a team player willing to show flexibility and is self-motivated.
Collaboration with other agencies.
Working knowledge of substance use counseling techniques, both individual and group
Understands various diagnoses in the mental health field and understand recommended treatment for those who need mental health services.
Will have a basic understanding of different psychotropic medications and possible side effects from those medications.
Handles multiple priorities.
Independent discretion/decision making within the scope and responsibility of the position.
Manages emotions and can make decision under pressure.
Manages stress appropriately.
Works alone effectively.
Works effectively near others and/or in a distracting environment.
