Licensed Architect Commercial Construction

Our client is seeking a licensed Architect to lead design, planning, and documentation for commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for developing architectural concepts, producing detailed drawings, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with building codes and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial construction knowledge, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through completion.

Requirements:

Design & Technical Development

• Lead projects from initial concept through final design.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prepare detailed construction documents, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Incorporate client feedback into design iterations.
• Meet with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals.
• Communicate design intent clearly to internal teams and external partners.

Project Oversight

• Identify and resolve design issues proactively.
• Direct staff in developing drawings, studies, and budgets.
• Visit job sites to ensure construction aligns with architectural plans.
• Support planning, bidding, and project development activities.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

• State licensure.
• BS in Architecture or related field.
• Strong commercial construction experience.
• AutoCAD (3+ years) and Revit proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, codes, and quality standards.
