Position: Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) – Licensed HVAC Contractor (C-20)

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as RMO for Osta’s C-20 HVAC operations — maintaining full compliance with California C-20 (HVAC) licensing, codes, and regulations.
  • Oversee job quality—ensure HVAC installations, repairs, and inspections pass the first time.
  • Perform HVAC work (or supervise technicians) including:
    • Installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
    • Equipment setup, ductwork, system troubleshooting, refrigerant handling (EPA-certified), and emergency service.

  • Mentor and guide HVAC technicians in safety, compliance, and technical execution.
  • Leverage Osta’s mobile app for real-time job tracking, documentation, invoicing—zero paperwork.
  • Collaborate closely with dispatch and support for seamless scheduling and routing.

What You Bring

  • Active California C-20 HVAC Contractor License in good standing (Required for RMO).
  • 4+ years of hands-on HVAC/R experience in residential and/or light commercial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of California HVAC codes, California UPC, OSHA/Cal-OSHA standards, and permitting procedures.
  • Leadership ability to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification—mandated for refrigerant work.
  • Own tools and reliable transportation (truck or van).
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using mobile apps and cloud-based systems.
  • Able to pass background check.
