Job Summary

PREEMINENT is seeking highly motivated armed and unarmed SPO's  for our DC locations. Qualified applicants must be able to protect the property that has been assigned to them, enforce regulations to maintain a secure environment and respond to emergencies as they arise.  In addition, the officer will need to possess a high level of customer service and documentation skills, be able to collaborate with the site leadership and local law enforcement and participate in training programs to enhance their skills.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Observe PPS staff, visitors, personnel, and property in a professional manner.


• 
  Meet and deal tactfully and politely with general public and visitors.


• 
  Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors.


• 
  Identify, report, delay or detain persons who violate rules and regulations.


• 
  Complete all reports and paperwork as required.


• 
  Provide first aid, CPR and assist during emergencies as necessary.


• 
  Be fully familiar with building layout, floor plans, manual fire alarm locations, fire extinguisher locations, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) locations, emergency routes, and evacuation assembly points.


• 
  Remain on post until properly relived and pass all information relevant to the post to the relieving Special Police Officer (SPO)


• 
  Perform duties as assigned by Operations Leadership.

• Efficiently learn PREEMINENT's software systems: BambooHR, and Connect Teams 

Qualifications

• 
  Must have an active District of Columbia (DC) SPO license.


• 
  Must be at least 18 years of age.


• 
  US Citizen with a valid social security card


• 
  Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.


• Must Possess a CPR/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification


• Must Possess or be Willing to obtain the OC/ Baton and Handcuff Certifications


• 
  Must be available to work a flexible schedule.


• 
  Must possess the visual acuity necessary to prepare records and reports and operate a computer terminal (if applicable).


• 
  Must possess manual competence to operate standard office, data entry, and computer equipment (if applicable).


• 
  Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.


• 
  Must be willing to work inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
