IN DETAIL

Flexibility:

We offer a flexible schedule as you set your own schedule and hours. We operate in a hybrid-model, offering both virtual and in-person services. You also determine your client load and can increase or decrease to fit your lifestyle. Scheduling vacation time is also flexible. We prioritize work-life balance and consider clinical burn-out in maintaining a workload to promote self-care. Our practice attempts to match you with clients that you find interesting, are in your skillset, and/or will let you grow desired clinical skills.

Support:

We offer support services including individual and group supervision. The Clinical Director has an open door policy to provide supervision and support to each clinician, and availability for these services is flexible. Our team is invested to make you the best therapist you can be. That includes supporting your decision to develop new clinical competencies and skill sets. We provide and facilitate various training opportunities, including having guest speakers who are experts in their field and opportunities are available for third-party CBT and EST courses and training.

Colleagues:

Our ethos is to be engaging and relatable people, who just so happen to be excellent therapists. We look to provide a “real” person in the room. We are collaborative, and we foster a supportive environment. Each member of the team is invested in the others’ growth and success. We value cultural competency. Each of our clinicians have a different style and approach, which allows for a dynamic case consultation and formulation. We also engage in comprehensive collaborative care, on an as-needed basis. For instance, family members may be assigned to separate clinicians or a client with complex needs may be assigned to multiple clinicians based on their differing expertise.

Approach/Patient Population:

Our approach to clinical work and treatment conceptualization is grounded in evidence-based theories, and we then base our interventions on evidence-based techniques. We offer a holistic approach to psychological treatment, and consider multiple influences on mental health, such as fitness, nutrition, sleep, among others.

Our patient population includes:

Children | Teens | Adults | Older Adults | Couples | Families

We also see a variety of mental health disorders and clinical issues, such as:

Depression | Generalized Anxiety | Social Anxiety | Obsessive Compulsive Disorder | Posttraumatic Stress Disorder | Phobias | Panic | Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder | School-Related Issues | Defiance/Oppositional/Externalizing Behaviors | Executive Functioning Deficits | Personality Disorder Traits | Life Transitions | Relationship Struggles | Family Related Issues | Single Life | Work/Educational Problems | Improving Work-Life Balance

Staying up-to-date:

We stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and practices. Our practice invests in technology to automate administrative work and facilitate our clinical work. We work through a comprehensive electronic medical record system that streamlines note writing, paperwork, and administrative tasks. We use digitally administered metrics for each session to track client progress. We utilize tablets and digital administration whenever possible for psychological assessments.

Community:

Our practice values work community. We foster a collaborative environment to help facilitate collegiality. We also try to give back to the community we work in. At our practice, our clinicians work independently within a supportive network who are readily available when others need assistance.

Minimize Administrative Work:

We try our best to minimize the amount of work we have outside of clinical practice. There is minimal paperwork to complete, we use automatic billing, and invoices are automatically generated. We also employ a highly skilled intake coordinator to screen and refer cases appropriately.

Future Vision:

In looking forward to the future, our practice has several goals in order to improve and expand.

  • We are looking to continue to create collegiality, didactics, and pursue clinical excellence and knowledge within our private practice
  • Expand to additional locations in NYC, Westchester, CT, and NJ
  • Grow a diverse skill-set so clinicians can support one another’s clinical growth and provide a diversity of care
  • Facilitate regular group trainings from outside expert clinicians
  • Incorporate community training, service, and charity
  • Add group therapy to our offerings
