Licensed HVAC Technician

We are hiring a motivated HVAC licensed contractor at Wright Mechanical! This individual must have adequate experience in all areas of the HVAC trade and be willing and able to encourage and teach others.

Key responsibilities of an HVAC licensed contractor:

Installation:

Installing new HVAC systems in homes and businesses, including proper sizing, layout, and placement of equipment. 

Maintenance:

Performing routine inspections and servicing of existing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. 

Repair:

Diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system malfunctions, repairing or replacing faulty components, and restoring system functionality. 

Customer interaction:

Consulting with clients to understand their needs, providing estimates for projects, explaining system options, and addressing concerns. 

Code compliance:

Adhering to local building codes and regulations related to HVAC installation and maintenance. 

Project management:

Overseeing the entire HVAC project, including scheduling, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring timely completion. 

Estimating costs:

Assessing project requirements and providing accurate cost breakdowns for labor and materials. 

Quality control:

Inspecting completed installations to ensure proper functionality and adherence to industry standards. 

Required skills and qualifications:

Technical knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, including principles of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration. 

Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose system malfunctions and identify root causes of problems. 

Hand tools proficiency: Expertise in using various tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and repair. 

Electrical knowledge: Understanding of electrical wiring and components within HVAC systems. 

Customer service skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients. 

Licensing and certification: Holding a valid HVAC license as required by local regulations. 

Specialization areas:

Residential HVAC: Focusing on servicing single-family homes 

Commercial HVAC: Installing and maintaining HVAC systems in larger buildings like offices and retail spaces 

Industrial HVAC: Working on complex HVAC systems in industrial facilities
