Job Description - Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative

Our comprehensive, fully paid six-month training program teaches the skills necessary to provide customer service across various channels, including phone calls, emails, chat, and social media. Following in-office development, there is an opportunity for a hybrid work model with two work-from-home days per week.

The Opportunity

As a Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll interact with members, apply knowledge of insurance products and services, and maintain required licenses and state registrations. You'll facilitate the member experience and provide advice and solutions for foundational to moderately complex insurance issues.

Provide customer service to members via phone, email, and other channels

Create foundational to moderately complex policies and provide advice on coverage options

Assess and understand member needs to provide accurate solutions and minimize escalations and call backs

Navigate multiple systems while maintaining an engaging member interaction that occurs across multiple channels.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

1 year of customer service experience in insurance or related field

Ability to acquire Property & Casualty (P&C) licenses and state registrations within 90 days of hire

Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications

Preferred Qualifications

Current active personal lines or property and casualty license in your state of residence or state of hire

US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

Prior experience in a fast-paced contact center environment

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $46,370 - $50,300

Eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans, 401(k), pension, life insurance, parental benefits, adoption assistance, paid time off program with paid holidays plus 16 paid volunteer hours, and various wellness programs.
