Per Diem Position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Paint fingernails and toenails.
• Clean, cut and shape nails.
• Remove previously applied polish.
• Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments.
• Sterilize equipment before use.
• Give hand and foot massages.
• Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g., how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer).
• Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate.
• Take an interest in members (e.g., chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences).

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven work experience as a Manicurist, Nail Technician, or similar role.
• Expertise in basic and advanced nail techniques, including French manicures and gel manicures.
• Knowledge of cosmetology trends.
• Understanding of sanitation and sterilization standards.
• Experience in customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CA State Certification in Cosmetology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Repeat the same movements.
• Sit for long periods of time.
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
• Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
• Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
• Understand the speech of another person.
• Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
• Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
• See details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
• Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• Focus on one source of sound and ignore others.
