Licensed Electrical Service Technician – Austin, TX

We’re partnering with one of the fastest-growing MEP service organizations in Texas as they launch a new Austin-area location. This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Service Technician to get in early, help establish the market, and grow with an established, privately held, family-owned Texas company.

This is not a startup company, it’s a new location backed by an established organization with successful operations in multiple Texas markets. The company recently invested in a new facility near the Round Rock/Georgetown area and is building the Austin operation to offer the same full-service capabilities as its other locations, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, service, and construction.

We’re looking for a licensed, experienced electrical professional who can step in and hit the ground running. You’ll report to the Service Manager and support a mix of residential and commercial customers throughout Austin and the surrounding Central Texas market.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair electrical systems and equipment


• Perform electrical installations, upgrades, replacements, and preventative maintenance


• Support both residential and commercial customers


• Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify safe, effective solutions


• Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and technical information as needed


• Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable electrical codes and standards


• Work independently in the field while staying closely connected with the service team


• Travel throughout Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and surrounding Central Texas areas


• Communicate professionally with customers and clearly explain service needs and solutions


• Participate in an on-call rotation; availability is required, although after-hours calls are typically infrequent


• Support the continued growth of the Austin operation as its service and construction capabilities expand

What We’re Looking For

• Current Texas electrical license


• 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience preferred


• Strong service, troubleshooting, repair, and installation experience


• Residential and commercial electrical experience strongly preferred


• Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety requirements, and applicable codes


• Ability to diagnose problems independently and confidently manage service calls


• Professional, customer-focused communication skills


• Clean driving record and ability to safely operate a company vehicle


• Willing and able to travel throughout Austin and the surrounding Central Texas service area daily


• Dependable, safety-minded, team-oriented, and ready to contribute immediately
