As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, you'll provide compassionate, person-centered counseling services while helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges. You'll partner with clients to develop treatment goals, celebrate progress, and empower them to achieve greater independence and emotional well-being.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

• On-site position, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Salary range $55,000-$75,000/year (salaried/exempt). 
• Salary based on skills and experience.
• Up to 6% annual bonus potential

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide individual and group counseling services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable therapeutic goals.
• Support families and caregivers through education and counseling when appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional client care.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and ethical clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings and multidisciplinary care discussions.
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions to support successful outcomes.
• Promote dignity, independence, self-determination, and quality of life for every individual served.
• Ensure compliance with CARF, DHS, IDPH, HIPAA, and Helping Hand standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Education:

• Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work.
• Current Illinois licensure as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Experience:

• At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Knowledge, Skill Sets, and Abilities:

• Ability to complete required agency training, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and electronic documentation systems.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of ongoing personal motor vehicle insurance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The person in this position may encounter clients exhibiting physical aggression; they must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist others, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 
• The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer). 
• Consistently position oneself to maintain files in file cabinets or assist others. 
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
