Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Key Responsibilities:

• Licensed Nursing Home Administrator will oversee daily operations of the facility to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
• Licensed Nursing Home Administrator will supervise all department heads including Nursing, Rehab, Dietary, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Social Work, Admissions, and Recreation
• Develop and implement facility policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and staffing to ensure long-term stability
• Promote an interdisciplinary, resident-centered care approach
• Conduct and document QAPI, Safety, and Department Head meetings
• Address resident concerns and ensure timely follow-up
• Ensure survey readiness and compliance with infection control standards
• Collaborate with the DON and Infection Prevention on safety and PPE training
• Develop policies and procedures which meet state and federal regulations as well as the Ownership's approval
• Is responsible for implementation and adherence of the policies and procedures to ensure the standards of resident care and services.
• Be readily accessible to staff and residents for consultation
• Involve Resident Council in addressing the need to achieve compromise between conflicting resident and staff interests and their needs
• Encourage professional and respectful behavior on the part of the staff towards residents.
• Reports and analyzes all accidents and near accidents. Takes steps to prevent future occurrences.
• Responsible for excellent outcomes and minimum deficiencies for NYS, federal surveys and inspections, including infection control surveys.
• Reviews admissions to make sure facility can meet level of care requirements for potential admits.

Requirements

•  Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in New York (Required)
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent LTC experience
• Strong knowledge of DOH, CMS, and infection control regulations
• Familiarity with resident care processes and interdisciplinary coordination
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local healthcare laws and codes
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and ability to represent the facility in the community
• Ability to respond during public health emergencies or unusual hours
• Must meet all qualifications set by the NYS Department of Health
