Licensed Pharmacy Tech

Under the direction of the Pharmacist a Licensed Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists with preparing and dispensing medications while providing efficient and professional service to patients and customers.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive and process      prescription orders accurately. 
• Prepare, package, label, and      organize medications under a pharmacist’s supervision. 
• Enter patient and prescription      information into the pharmacy computer system. 
• Assist customers with      prescription pickup and general pharmacy inquiries. 
• Process insurance claims and      resolve basic billing or coverage issues. 
• Maintain accurate patient,      prescription, and inventory records. 
• Monitor medication inventory,      stock shelves, and check expiration dates. 
• Order and receive pharmacy      supplies and medications as required. 
• Follow pharmacy procedures,      privacy requirements, and medication-safety standards. 
• Maintain a clean, organized,      and safe pharmacy work area. 
• Refer medication-related or      clinical questions to the pharmacist. 

1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Pharmacy technician certification 

3. 1 to 2 years experience 

4. Strong attention to detail; good communication, customer-service, computer, and organizational skills 

5. Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
