Licensed Physical Therapist- Home Health- Travel Assignment

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy with experience in various settings, including pediatrics, acute care, orthopedics, and geriatrics. This role involves developing personalized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with patients to assess their needs and provide effective rehabilitation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to enhance recovery and mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and injury prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving the facility.
• Stay updated on the latest physical therapy techniques and medical terminology relevant to practice.

Experience

• Active CA state PT license
• A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Physical Therapy speciality.
• Proven experience in physical therapy practice, preferably in hospital or clinic settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy and rehabilitation.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of acute care protocols and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of physiology as it relates to movement and recovery processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
