Job Title: Emergency Services Medical Director

Location: Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX

Work Schedule: This position requires flexibility to be on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Medical License: Must be a licensed physician in Texas with board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience: Experience in pre-hospital emergency care and EMS program management.
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of EMS systems, local multi-casualty plans, and relevant laws and regulations.

• Provide medical direction and oversight for the EMS Program, ensuring all practices comply with the latest standards and regulations. 
• Actively engage in the training and continuing education of EMS personnel, ensuring they meet or exceed certification requirements.
• Establish and monitor compliance with field performance and training guidelines, ensuring adherence to state and national standards.
• Develop, implement, and revise medical protocols, standing orders, and performance guidelines for patient care, triage, transport, and dispatch.
• Direct an effective system audit and quality assurance program, conducting quarterly on-site reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
