Licensed Plumber

About the Role

A great opportunity at Degree Heating & Cooling for a licensed Plumber to help us develop our plumbing department, a ground floor opportunity with a bonus compensation plan. As our first Plumber, you will work directly with our general manager to establish and grow our plumbing department. 

You will help us recruit future Plumbers, run sales calls, price work, and assist in managing and building our full-service and fully-staffed plumbing department. This is an amazing opportunity to have complete department ownership within a well established and respected HVAC business. Management experience is a plus but willing to train the right candidate. This is a full-time role that will report into the company’s General Manager and be based out of our growing Glastonbury, CT office.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the charge to develop our Plumbing department


• Collaborate with our other departments to drive organizational growth


• Run sales calls and price work


• Establish customer rapport to offer solutions and provide the correct service


• Recruit Plumbers and build out our Plumbing department


• Participate in training, meetings, and company events

We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have

• Knowledge of and experience with plumbing systems, components, and installation practices


• Knowledge of ServiceTitan is a plus


• Business management experience a plus


• Strong organization and attention to detail skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Valid driver’s license


• Excited about growth potential and managing other plumbers

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements


• To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls, hear, and talk


• Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces


• The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required


• The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons
