Location: Cushing, Oklahoma
Schedule: Night shift, potential 36/48 rotation as needed by the facility
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,875.00

Job Overview:
We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility located in Cushing, Oklahoma. This role involves performing basic nursing duties, medication administration, and supporting physician-led care in a secure setting. Candidates must be able to work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts, and meet facility clearance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and operate pill call
• Assist physicians during sick calls, exams, and treatments
• Perform technical/clinical procedures within the LPN scope of practice
  
• Maintain inventory and control of medications and medical supplies
• Document all nursing activities and maintain accurate medical records
  
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic emergency medical care
• Monitor patient health status and report significant changes
  
• Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Escort inmates/residents to and from medical treatment areas
  
• Observe, document, and report inmate behavior to ensure safety and care continuity
• Support NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation and facility compliance efforts
  

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited LPN program
• Active, unrestricted LPN license in California
  
• Must have a valid Social Security card and drivers license for facility clearance
• Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
  
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks
• Must be at least 18 years old
  
• Valid drivers license required
• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
  
• No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during the assignment

Preferred:

• Experience in correctional or institutional healthcare settings
• Familiarity with emergency medical procedures and behavioral management
  
• Active AHA BLS certification
