Job Overview:

As an LPN, you will provide essential nursing care under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians. You’ll assist with both medical and daily living needs of residents while maintaining proper documentation and upholding the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain an active West Virginia LPN license in good standing.
• Hold a valid CPR certification and Food Handlers Card (required for assisting with meal pass).
• Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and injections.
• Accurately take and record vital signs and collect specimens for lab testing.
• Support care planning and document timely entries in electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Assist physicians and RNs during exams and treatments, and help maintain a clean exam area.
• Instruct residents on medication use and possible side effects.
• Ensure the emotional and physical comfort and safety of all residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as grooming and hygiene.
• Communicate with families and advocates while following HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
• Participate in an extended orientation if newly licensed, under the guidance of an LPN Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Valid West Virginia LPN License
• Current CPR Certification
• Valid Food Handlers Card
• Strong observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting
• EMR documentation experience preferred (training provided)
• New graduates welcome – extended orientation provided
