LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE Full-Time

Little Flower Manor, a non-profit 127-bed nursing home founded in 1977, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. Situated on beautifully landscaped grounds, our facility provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term care options while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for our residents. 

Requirements

The LPN plays a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining accurate patient records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess as a minimum, a graduate of a State approved School of Practical Nursing with current Pennsylvania licensed as an L.P.N.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred but not required. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• COVID 19 vaccination mandatory for all staff.  Flu vaccination required when in season. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the Registered Nurse.
• Provide wound care and other medical treatments as needed.
• Assist with patient activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENT: 

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner with a good memory.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must possess sight, hearing, touching, smelling senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.
• Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within the facility.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty pounds.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position including climbing, balancing, carrying, crouching, grasping kneeling, reaching, standing, and stooping.
