VA Community Living Centers (CLC) are VA-operated nursing homes that provide long-term and short-term care, offering a homelike environment with skilled nursing, help with daily activities (ADLs), rehabilitation, and hospice for eligible veterans, focusing on restoring well-being, preventing decline, and providing comfort, often featuring resident-decorated rooms, family-friendly visits, and pet allowances to feel less institutional.
$24 - $25 an hour
Shift Availability: 0700 AM-0330 PM; 0730AM-4000PM; 0800AM-0430PM; 1030AM-0700PM; 1130AM-0800PM; 1230PM-900PM; 0330PM-1200AM.
Scope of Care:
Patient Monitoring: Checking vital signs and observing changes in residents' health.
Basic Care: Assisting with personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
Wound Care: Changing bandages and dressing wounds.
Documentation: Recording patient care, observations, and maintaining health records in RPMS.
Communication: Reporting resident status to RNs, doctors, and updating families.
Emotional Support: Providing comfort and a friendly presence for residents.
Qualifications:
Any state license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
BLS
Minimum 2 years relevant experience
