Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Day Program (Brooklyn)

AHRC NYC is looking to hire a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Brooklyn Adult Day Program. 

Salary: $62,000 per year....plus a comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information below.

Location: 522 Bushwick Ave. Brooklyn.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of licensed practical nurse for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• You will be responsible for maintaining health records, disseminating important proactive health information to staff and families. supporting staff in infection control, first aid and medication support and working with our team on maintaining health and safety in our program.
• Under supervision by an RN, is responsible for providing therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC and ADS policies, OPWDD regulations and standards of the professional registered nurse.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required.
• Understands the Scope of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses
• Supervises staff under the guidance of the assigned supervising RN

Non-Clinical setting is ideal for building relationships and supporting ongoing health

• New York State License as a Licensed Practical Nurse Required.
• Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities a plus.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• CPR certified (AHRC can provide training if needed)
