Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - FT Night (Westmoreland County Prison)

Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work on the night shift, full time in the medical department at the Westmoreland County Prison in Greensburg, PA.

Shift Times: Full Time Nights (6:00 PM-6:00 AM)

Job Responsibilities:

The LPN will primarily be responsible for administering detox medications and providing drug counseling while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is communicated to appropriate personnel. Other responsibilities will include:

Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws
Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of care
Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record

This position provides a two-week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing the nursing staff.
