Bittersweet is seeking a Full time LPN to help enrich lives and make a difference on our nursing team in Whitehouse, OH.

Job Type: Full time

Medical Specialty: Home Health

Expected hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Schedule will include: 3 x 12's (7:30 am - 7:30 pm) and 1 x 4hr Shift (7:30 am - 11:30 am) each week with every other weekend On Call. **

Weekend Shifts Include 4 hours on Saturday (7:30-11:30am) and 12 hours on Sunday

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour - *Pay determined by experience*

Requirements:

Current LPN license for the State of Ohio with a minimum of one year of nursing experience
Valid Driver License with eligibility to be insured
Mandatory Company Paid Background Check

Responsibilities:

Monitor all aspects of health and safety including the psycho-social and medical needs of Bittersweet residents and the participants of the vocational day program.
Completion of nursing health assessments and resident nursing skills and tasks, including medication administration, vitals, irrigations and vaccinations.
Serve as a medical and occupational health advocate for residents and vocational participants
Assist in education and delegation for staff of medication administration and other pertinent skills and tasks.
Assist in monitoring and completion of all regulatory rules and regulations through the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
Providing education to residents, participants and staff regarding the detection of illness, disease prevention, infection control, hygiene, sanitation, etc. as needed
Attend all telehealth appointments.
Provide transportation and accompany residents to offsite medical appointments.

Possess a positive work ethic with patience, compassion, and flexibility required in a facility serving those with developmental disabilities.
Vital signs monitoring (BP, Temperature, Pulse, and Respiration)
Medication Administration (Oral, Injectable & Topical)
Wound Care (Clean & dress wounds, prevent infections, and promote healing)
Patient assessments (Observe and report changes in patient condition)
Use of (EHR) systems to document patient data
Medical equipment operation
Charting / Documentation
Time management
Attention to detail
BLS Certification

Qualifications:

Current LPN license for the State of Ohio with a minimum of one year of nursing experience
Current Driver’s License with eligibility to be insured
Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities strongly preferred
Ability to follow physician’s orders and excellent medical charting skills
Ability to work and communicate effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment
